Basementalism Set 01-30-10
For those who don’t know I spent the majority of my years from 2001 to 2007 running a lil radio station in Boulder, CO called Radio1190am (radio1190.org) and the hip-hop show there called Basementalism. I made a trip back there on January 30, 2010 to spin a set, introduce / interview the group I DJ / produce for “The Boombox Saints”, and interview Virginia emcee TREW as well (for more info on TREW see a few posts below for his mixtape “The Hangover”).

I first heard of Trew through this track “Don’t Take My Swag Away” that Ski Beatz (producer for Camp Lo, Reasonable Doubt) had done. After checking his Last Call EP, I knew he was making some good music. I featured him on my first podcast and reached out to him. Everything I’ve heard from him has been quality, and I co-sign this mixtape x100 (in fact you might be able to hear this DJ’s voice if you listen closely lol). The mixtape features appearances from Kleph Dollaz, Camp Lo, Ski Beatz and production from Nottz, Ski Beatz, Haywood, and more.
